@Ian - Yeah, Flash does have a learning curve to it. Back in the "old days" I actually took a couple legit courses on it and with my dev background, I picked it up pretty fast. Now if you were to get into it today and tried to do any programming you'd probably REALLY be lost. I was working on a Flash piece recently with my designers and I think they worked on it for a day and then gave up ha ha (#):)

And yeah, I'm not sure NOT supporting Flash is the way to go either. I keep thinking that there might/should be a way to put Flash apps in some sort of "container" where they couldn't wreak so much havoc but I guess that's just not the way Flash works. *shrugs*

Such an Apple HATER ! ! !

Several years ago I got a copy of the Macromedia MX suite (Dreamweaver, Flash, etc.) in an attempt to learn how to do some flash menus for the church’s web site. I even got a book (which since burned up in the house fire sadly) and started the process self teaching myself Flash.

Yah . . . not so much.

I remember something about taking a picture of a car and making the wheels turn . . . and then making an interactive menu . . . then making the car change colors and then making it go away and show an entirely different picture altogether.

I spent a good three weeks going through the book and finally I gave up. I was never able to make the menu for the web site the way I wanted . . . that is with out it crashing. I remember time lines . . . and that they didn’t work the way they did in my video editing program so I was very confused lol.

I had no idea that Jobs didn’t like Flash . . . and Flash needs to get its act together, but I’m not sure not supporting Flash is the way to go any more then not supporting IE was the way to go. But I don’t use a Mac very much, so I don’t truly know what I’m talking about.
