Hello again Bush,

Are you on Twitter? If so, what's your TwitterID; mine's cyberpenguin.

If not, you'd probably really like to participate because there's a whole running community there now, thanks to the efforts of a few of us runners who've broadcast the idea across the net. ;-) In fact, you might even know some of the runners! (My pal, Steve Speirs, a.k.a., britishbulldog on Twitter, is the originator of the Hundred Pushups website that got so much buzz on Lifehacker/AppScout/Digg, etc.)

Also, on this note, you'll probably want to check out John Frenette's GoRun link/article & Tim Wilson's article about runners to follow on Twitter.

Twitter's become a lot more interesting & dynamic of a place to be thanks to the arrival of all the runners. ;-)

Anyhow, hope to hear from you soon, either via Twitter or an email! Nice to find another DC area runner!

Good job, Bush! I'll most likely be running this race next year. Will you be running the Rockville 5K/10K? If so, I'll see you there! ;-)

ha ha Bush that last pic is hilarious.

I love running too, don't talk about it too much though. I'm a little heavy but run regular. Did 4 miles in 28 mins today and went out for an untimed 7 miler (lost of hills) last weeks so am doing ok.

I am hoping to do a few 10k's in the fall. I love the feeling of a race.

I ran the London Marathon a few years back and I too get feet problems. My feet blistered and bled at the 14mile point and instead of stopping completely the crowd kept me going and I managed to finish, albeit in a lot of pain.

It takes me forever to get the right running shoes but you really can't underestimate the importance of it.

@Bobby - Yeah, even though 8K isn't that long, I sure felt like a distance runner that night 'cause I was so out of shape. But thanks man, I'm happy I got it done!

Congratulations on finishing the race! I know I'd get sick from a long distance run. I prefer wind sprints on the beach (at night of course...it's too hot right now). I used to do distance running when I was younger, but haven't in several tears.
