Study of Blog Earnings Report January 2008 (MyBlogEarnings)

Tag: Site MonetizationBush Mackel @ 1:16 am

2008 is indeed off to a great start thanks to my wonderful sponsors!

When I first put up my ads, I’m not sure what I really was expecting. And truthfully, even though they’re currently only bringing in a little bit of income, every little bit helps when it comes to hosting fees.

But most importantly, January’s success paves the way for bigger and better things for the site that I’m very much looking forward to. (#):)

I really hope your January’s were as good to you as mine was to me!

You may have noticed something a bit odd with this post… Mainly that I’m the only one listed so far! I’m sure that will change soon but lately I’ve been a lot more organized with my posts (in an effort to get what I want online ON TIME) and today is the day for this bad boy.

So you know the deal! If you feel like sharing, please drop a comment or shoot me an e-mail and I’ll make sure to get your totals up. But remember that this is BLOG EARNINGS for a SPECIFIC BLOG for LAST MONTH! So if you made $1000 but it was from your collection of websites, I’m not that interested!

Great going buddy, i am sure this will increase in the coming months. I have also posted my January stats. Feel free to check them out and include them here.

  2. Vegan Momma says:

    Congrats!

I did make well over 1,000 from one of my websites. I wrote about that briefly not sure if it were on VM or another website. The others that are monetized (three additional) did very well also. A few hundred in one instance (vegan momma) and a several hundred in others. I’m not giving an exact figure though. It’s all about the paycheck that I wrote about on VM. I can see why some are curious.

VM is my low paying website then again I didn’t set it up to make money. It’s the hub, but I have effectively driven sales to the other websites. Well, with the exception of the one that made over 1k. That’s my newest baby and I want to see how well I do without help from it’s momma (VM).

Well done Bush. And next month should be even better! Btw, what’s with the 0 PR? Bobby and I have the same deal. I haven’t had a chance to look into it. Bobby has, but hasn’t been able to figure it out. All I know is that it doesn’t quite add up. My 4 ranking dropped to 0 last time around and I don’t know why.

Have you had a chance to figure anything out? Funny thing is that I get way more traffic from Google now with a 0 PR than I did with a 4. Simply doesn’t make sense to me.

  4. Bush Mackel says:

@Madhur – They will be added soon, thanks man!

@Vegan Momma – I think I’m going out on some Vegan like ventures with these sites, esp what I’m hoping to turn into a great place for affiliate marketing. Expect some posts on the subject soon… I’m putting a lot of work into it as we speak!

@Aaron – It’s widely agreed that the PR 0 comes from Google b!tch slapping those of us who have ever “manipulated” their search results. Like selling text links, doing sponsored posts etc. I looked over your site briefly and I couldn’t find anything but then again, I’m not really familiar with a lot of the programs you’re involved with.

  5. teeni says:

Congratulations on such a great start to the year! I’m glad to see some good things happening to some of my bloggy buddies! And I also hope it continues and grows for you! :)

  6. Bush Mackel says:

@Teeni – Thanks a lot! And you know I’ll keep you updated on all this great stuff so stay tuned!

  7. apexad says:

Congratulations on a great month. As I said before, I know that the money I sent you is included in that. As one of your sponsors, I could not be happier. Certainly, I think the sky is the limit for you and February might just be your best month ever!

Your rule of not including other sites in our earnings reports and only our totals hurts me a little bit this month, but that’s alright. For me January was one of the better times I’ve had with my blog. The reason was that earnings wasn’t my motivation. (read my earnings post for the reasons)

  8. Mitchell Allen says:

    Hey Bush, that’s awesome!
It took me a whole year to get to 75.00 ;)

    Best wishes for 2008!

    Mitch

  9. Bush Mackel says:

@Apexad – Thanks and I feel the same way. I KNOW Feb is gonna be great! (Check out my post manana to see what I mean!)

@Mitch – Thanks man, NOW the trick is to repeat that success every month. (#):)

  10. Brown Baron says:

Looking good buddy. Definitely a great start.

  11. Bush Mackel says:

    @Brown – Thank you sir!

  12. Forest Parks says:

Here are my earnings. I have not done a hell of a lot on Jan but did very well.

    PPP: $184.5
    SMORTY: $14.40
    AD: $8.53

    TOTAL: $207.43

Well done for your earnings. I really like your new improved site.

  13. Bush Mackel says:

@Forest – Great to see you back pardner – And congrats on the great month! Your great PPP earnings kinda make me want to jump back on that train but I think esp now with the new job, I just don’t have the time for it. *nod*

  14. Forest Parks says:

PPP is strange. I can earn between $20-$45 a day from it and now my site gets natural traffic. I want to improve the quality of my reviews and then work on other projects.

I also realised that I did not make it clear which site the earnings are from. They are from http://www.therandomforest.info. However my personal site has moved to .com and at present I make no money from that.

  15. Aaron Cook says:

@Bush: Yeah, I did have a PPP link (just a link!) on my blog a long, LONG time ago, and that’s the reason I could come up as to why I’m at 0 now. Therefore, it’s obvious that Google has the memory of an elephant, and is as forgiving as a woman scorned. :P

I hope the next PR update rights things appropriately, but I’m not gonna hold my breath or lose sleep over it.

  16. Bush Mackel says:

@Forest – Thanks for the clarification on the URL, I’ll def change it (if I ever get around to it (#);)

@Aaron – I’m not gonna hold my breath either which is why I’ve obviously turned towards other revenue streams. I’m def happy I finally made the switch and hopefully it’ll continue to pay off going forward in 2008. *nod*

  17. Franca Richard says:

Good work, I have just started my blog, hope can earn a bit in future, :)
