Saturday Speedlinkin X
Boy I feel good after this week!
I feel like I’ve really been doing a great job in working on the little things on my site and hopefully after a little more work, it’ll be all done (for a while) and I can go back to just focusing on content and worrying about my other online endeavors.
(Besides, I know you’re all getting tired of reading about this site every other post (#);) )
So anyway, here’s some of your killer content!
And congrats! You’ve all been stumbled!
HD DVD on Life Support by Pete Cullen – Not only did Pete write a killer Superbad review, but he also is delivering the news of HD DVD receiving a crippling blow by Warner Bros as they decide to go Blu Ray exclusively. For those of us who are waiting on pins and needles for this freakin thing to end, it’s great great news.
ExploerXP: A Better File Manager for Windows XP by Brown Baron – None of us could live without tabs in our internet browsers, now someone has taken the next step and put it into a Windows explorer.
Angela’s Unattainable New Years Resolutions by Angela – No resolution is really unattainable, so make sure you drop an encouraging word by the Boston Brat‘s way.
18 Blogging One Liner Disappointments of 2007 by Casey – This list just made me smile. (#):)
Grace is Back! After a very long break from blogging Grace is back and with a chic looking new theme. Make sure to give her a nice hello when you see her!
The Obligatory Round Up Post by Mike – I love getting into the heads of other developers and here Mike lets us into his blog’s with this great round up post for 2007.

I do like the look of the ExplorerXP, and the 18 Blogging Disappointments made me chuckle. Top work

Thanks for the mention.
The 18 Blogging Disappointments of 2007 was kind of funny, now that I look back to it.

Hey bud, hate to ask again, but I don’t recall if you responded earlier. Did you purposefully mean for your feeds to only show 51 words?

It’s great news unless you’ve bought an HD DVD player
Thanks for the speedlink Bush!

The Warner Bros going Blu-Ray Exclusive is interesting. I hope Microsoft releases a Blu-Ray drive for the Xbox 360 soon.

Thanks for the love buddy! We’re off to a great start.

@Rhys & Grace – Yeah, Casey did a bang up job with that one. (#):)
@Mark – I don’t recall if I responded earlier either! But that will be what I focus on for today. Better that than the Skins loss though, I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t expecting it. “THEY ARE WHO [I] THOUGHT THEY WERE!”
@Pete – Well, thankfully I hadn’t gone either way yet and my parents got theirs for free with their latest TV. I REALLY hope this does finally draw an end to things and HD DVD doesn’t pull another rabbit (a.k.a. millions of dollars) out of a hat again.
@Apex – That would be interesting to see if they do. I mean, I haven’t heard anything and I personally I doubt they would until HD DVDs stop being produced which is probably a long long way from coming. (Just my thoughts).
@Brown – Absolutely we are!

Bush,
Well, all that is really left is Universal & Paramount for movie companies. A few porn companies. EMI Records.
I am hoping Universal will switch soon, or at least start releasing some movies on Blu-Ray.
If Paramount shows signs of going Blu-Ray exclusive before the next Holiday season (when their HD-DVD commitment ends).
I’d rather see HD-DVD win, but more than that, I’d rather see the format wars over so I can pick up a player. I love the idea of the add-on in the case of Xbox 360. If Microsoft released a Blu-Ray add-on for less than $230, I’d pick it up.

@Apexad – Blu Ray for $230? Bleh. By the time that happens, PS3 will probably only be $300. (#);)
@Mark – Thanks for the additional kick in my arse about the full feed thang. I think it’s under control now. Geez, why does WordPress and me never seem to get along on this?!
