Study of Blog Earnings Report October 2007 (MyBlogEarnings)
You would think that taking off blogging for like two weeks certainly couldn’t've helped me.
Well shocker, it didn’t. Ha ha!
But it’s ok, this month is bound to shape up better than the last with my site now having some ok PR, and more importantly, me working on it consistently.
In any event, here are the numbers for last month!
| Revenue | Name | Alexa Rank | Page Rank | Revenue Source |
| $23,448 | John Chow | 2,405 | 4 | Private Ad Sales |
| $15,179 | Everton | 17,356 | 3 | AdSense |
| $232.03 | Apexad | 288,379 | 3 | Pay Per Post |
| $225.00 | Madhur Kapoor | 128,834 | 3 | AdSense |
| $86.41 | BeachBum Michael | 288,173 | 4 | AdSense |
| $58.32 | Bush Mackel | 135,672 | 3 | Pay Per Post |
| $41.11 | Forest Parks | 705,663 | 4 | Pay Per Post |
If anyone is interested, here’s how my earnings shook out:
- $43.59 – Pay Per Post
- $9.73 – AdSense
- $5.00 – Blogvertise
For some reason, I don’t mind looking at these figures this month! I could’ve done a lot better but it would’ve all been done to doing more sponsored reviews and well, you can’t do sponsored posts when you’re not posting on your blog to begin with!
AdSense was interesting this month, just about doubling from last. Maybe I’ll do a post about it later, but I’m really perplexed as to why my earnings increased as much as they did.
Anyone else care to share? If you are so nice to post your earnings and the rest, I’ll go ahead and update this post w/ your information (including a shiny new link for your site/post)!

Good job on the increase there buddy. Now that you’re back, Nov. will be a blockbuster for sure.

@Brown – Thanks for the encouragement as always my friend! Even though I’m sure that November will be a better month than last, I wished that it would be due more towards “steady” revenue sources. But that’s ok. I’m just not quite setup for that yet. Hopefully sometime in the future, but I gotta do a redesign first. *nod*

Woo hoo, great news considering how long you spent away from it.
If I could add my earnings again this month that would be marvellous!
I earned $3.11 all from Adsense but good news is… I do have 5 posts waiting approval from Pay Per Post so next month will be better.
My PR is also 4 now which is great and my Alexa is 705,663, this needs improving.

@Forest – Let me know what you want to do, but personally I count those PPP as earnings for last month. … To further explain, I did some posts on the 3rd and 7th of October. Now even though I don’t get paid for those until the 3rd and 7th of November, I still count them as last month’s income. Kind of in the same way as I count my AdSense earnings every month but I don’t get paid until I break that $100 mark. I’ll shoot you an e-mail but let me know if you want to adjust that total. (#):)

Hey Bush thanks for the quick mail!
In that case I’ll be adding another $38 for Pay Per Post.
What a great month. I am finally actually making soe money from all this work. I’m still making sure that I am looking at it as a fun venture right now too!

@Forest – Thanks for adding your revenue as usual Forest! And BTW, congrats with all your recent success! PR, Doubling Subscribers and now Some Revenue!!!

Hmmm, $60.00 is pretty good for infrequent posting!
November 5th, 2007 at 8:38 pm
@Kyle – Thanks man, I thought so too! But again, the lion’s share of the revenue was made during the first week in October when I did a couple of quick sponsored posts.

$60 is not bad at all Bush! $9.73 with adsense is great as well. Since all the changes to my site my adsense took a dip this month. However, since Google Images was sending people to 404 pages for my images, I had 35,000 page views and 15,500 unique visitors last month.
Since fixing it so Google Images does not return 404 pages and instead sends the user to a nice adsense’ified front page for my images it seems to have helped. Already in November I am past $4 in Google Adsense.

@Apexad – Already up to $4? That’s great! You know Google Images is something that I never have done a lot with. Maybe it’s time I start. BTW, let me know if you want me to post your revenue from last month!

+1
@Apexad – Ha ha! Found your revenue post! Sorry I missed it before!
November 6th, 2007 at 2:08 pm
Good job Bush . It is good considering you were not active much last month.
November 6th, 2007 at 2:35 pm
@Madhur – Thanks. I think I’m going to go for a record this month. So we’ll see how much I’m posting in Dec! (#):)

It’s cool how you still call me ‘Apexad’. Keep doing it though.
Anyway as far as Google Images go, it’s definitely interesting. It’s really pretty untapped as far as SEO goes, I think. However the drawback is getting the people coming for images to read your content.

@Apexad – First off, it’s just weird referring to you, a grown a$$ man by the name, “Keira Blog”. (#):D
Secondly, I see your problem. I bet a ton of people who are looking for images never make it to the content part of your site.
