@Madhur – Most definitely. They also offer a $70ish version that has a better screen and space and all that. I bring that up because $70ish is right around how much Shuffles cost and the Sansa one is still way ahead of it! (IMHO)

@CHESSNOID – I’ve seen 4GB Micro SDs. Crazy huh? Me and my friend were just talking about the 1st generation MP3 players like the infamous Rio Diamond mp3 player that had like 32MB of memory. Can you believe how far we’ve come?

@Tish – I’m on it! (As soon as I return from my sabbatical (#);D).

@keirablog – I like the new name and domain. Looks like you’re getting serious! I can’t wait until it starts paying dividends for you. *nod*

And yeah, I tried the whole MP3 phone thing with the LG Chocolate. Unfortunately the buttons are too small for me to be able to text message w/o looking, (so text messaging and games are hard if not impossible). And you have to carry a super small adapter for the phone if you want to plug in head phones. *UGH*. Oh well – Hopefully I’ll make a smarter decision 2 years in the future.

Yo! It’s me apexad, don’t let this name fool you.

I hate iPods as well! I like Apple, I think they make great products. If money was no object I’d have some Apple products. That being said, since I am not rich *yet* I don’t really like Apple.

My MP3 player is my phone. It’s a Sony Ericsson w580i, which is part of sony’s Walkman Phone line. It’s a slider-phone, so when I slide the number pad in all that I have is a fast foward, play, stop thing (a bit like an iPod) and to get to the MP3 player functionality, I just click the Walkman button. Currently it has 256MB but it supports M2 cards, and I am currently bidding on a 2GB one on eBay.

When all is said and done, it will cost me about $110 for it. Not bad when you consider it also plays 320×240 resoluion videos, has good games like pac-man, ridge racer, and others.

I personally prefer this phone over the iPhone. Touchscreen = bad IMO and it’s a ton cheaper!
