Happy Halo 3 Day!
Because I pre-ordered Halo 3 to get 1600 Microsoft Points that I ended up scratching off, I probably won’t have the pleasure of enjoying Halo 3 with the rest of you guys tomorrow.
In fact, I probably won’t get a chance to enjoy it the day after either. But that’s ok. (#):)
Just knowing that Halo 3 is finally out, and that I’ll soon have a a chance to sit down and enjoy it…
That Warm Fuzzy Feeling
Yeah that’s right, it makes me feel good. I mean any way you slice it, it’s a great time to be a gamer. I think I heard a stat somewhere that Halo 3 is anticipated to break $200 Million in sales and pre-orders. That’s like Indiana Jones numbers! Why do I care so much? Well, it just means that we can be assured that the best is yet to come.
I’ve always maintained that video games are the “convergence of art and technology” (Celia Cruz) and I JUST KNOW that the stuff coming out tomorrow is going to be breathtaking in terms of gameplay, graphics, and artistry.
Maybe what I’m trying to say is no matter what you’re doing today, work, school, hookey or anything in between…

I’m going to get this one for my birthday so next week it will be in my hands. The cool thing is I’m going to use some of my Adsense earnings to purchase it.
How much you want to bet that my daughter will want to play Halo? I had fun with Gears of War yesterday! Whee… Can you believe I was actually going to sell that game? I have the limited edition. I wonder what I was sniffing.

I wanted to post about this on my own blog so bad! Since I am re-defining my content though I could not. I’m so glad you mentioned it so I could tell my story!
I waited at a Gamestop from 6:15 PM – 12:01PM to get my copy of Halo 3. I got the Collector’s Edition. I was #8 in the line. I’ve already beat the first 3 campaign levels and played some multi-player. I will of course be playing it tonight a whole lot more!

Man, you’re gonna have so much fun with that! I bet you’ll be counting the days until you actually get to play it.
Btw, I redid the audio recording for the Super Link Sunday Batch #2 post. It’s a bit shorter and a whole lot better I think. Plus, I talked you up even more.

@Opal T – You’re using your AdSense earnings to pay for it!? I’m very envious! (But I’ll there too at some point (#);)) Oh, and I noticed today that there is a M for Mature on Halo. I wonder why that is. Maybe because of the red blood. I’m not sure.
@Apex – Ha ha ha! That’s awesome. I don’t know if you saw but today – I WAS ON PLAYING HALO 3! I was talking to some friends about my situation at work today and they were just like, “Why don’t you just buy the game and then return the one you’re getting shipped to you?” Why didn’t I think of that sooner? I would’ve taken off today! (#);)
@Aaron – I hate to say this, but the first time around reading your Super Link Sunday Batch #2 post, I completely missed the audio! I’m really glad you pointed it out ’cause it was AWESOME! I really hope that it’s something that you keep up. For those of you who don’t know what I’m talking about hit the link to Aaron’s post here and give him some love!

Yes I’m using some of my Adsense earnings. For my affiliate marketing is where it’s at. I’m using some of those earnings to buy a lens that I want. I wrote about that in my “If Only I Had” post this morning.
Yah know being a hard core gamer like yourself I thought you would have requested to get the game the day it was released!
I’ll be picking up BioShock also. I cannot wait for Mass Effect to be released.

You can delete the first post they both basically say the same thing. Occasionally I get hiccups when posting on your site and if I’m not careful it causes me to double post. Gah!

@Opal T – The only reason why I pre-ordered the game was because they were giving away 1600 pts with it for $5. And turns out I botched that too! (#):)

Btw, thanks for pointing out that you missed the audio the first time around. That means that I need make it a little more prominent. Tomorrow’s SLS will have an icon or graphic next to the audio link so it won’t be missed. So thanks for that feedback Bush. It’s invaluable, and confirms my earlier suspicions that it wasn’t noticeable enough.
