Halo 3 is a Week Away!
The wait has been long.
The anticipation has been great.
But FINALLY after so much waiting, Halo 3′s release is only a week away!
For a long time I honestly wasn’t getting all that excited about it. I think part of it was that for a good while it just seemed like the game was never coming out. But now, for the most anticipated game in history, Microsoft won’t let me ignore it anymore!
Marketing up the Ying Yang
If you haven’t heard anything about Halo 3 lately, seriously – You must be living under a rock. From the Halo themed Xboxes, to the ads on XBox Live, and now the freakin’ amazing Believe campaign, Microsoft knows now to launch a game right. If you missed Brown’s post (which I admittedly did the first time around), you need to head over to the Halo 3 site NOW and check out Believe. It is nothing short of amazing. Seriously.

What are Your Plans that Day?
As some of you know, I pre-ordered the game. With work and the baby and all that, I just didn’t trust myself to be able to get out there to get this game. If this was basically any other game, (SF IV, Tekken 6, Ninja Gaiden 2, or even Gears of War 2), it’d be a different story. But I know poeple are going to be just WAITING for the stores to open up and I really don’t want to be caught in that mess.
For me, I don’t plan on getting the game that day, so staying home from work isn’t a real probability either. Don’t get me wrong, I’ll look for any excuse I can to skip out on work but being as how the game comes out on a Tuesday, well you know. If it was a Friday that’d be a no brainer.
So how about you guys? Excited about the game? Planning a Halo 3 party? Skipping out work? Skipping out on your marriage? Selling your kids on eBay?

It’s strange how excited I used to be about games but for some reason I have lost my enthusiasm in recent years.
…..But this game at least graphically does look rather stunning

That diorama was incredible. A perfect time waster.

Don’t forget the Halo flavored Mountain Dew called Halo Fuel
My cousin has it on pre-order so I’ll wait to see if I want to buy it or not after checking out his copy. I’m still having fun laying waste to smack talking 10 year olds online with Halo 2. Okay, so I’m really not that good, but it’s still fun.

@Forest – I was there a little while ago (in vg no man’s man). I think I just got real busy and I didn’t have any next gen systems. But once I picked up my Wii, I was back like cooked coke. … Now that I think of it, I think it was FFXII that broke me.
@Brown – I’m a Flash guy, so to me – It was just spectacular.
@Mike – We gotta play co-op for Halo 3! (And of course we still gotta get in some Halo 2 sometime too!)
@Shaun – Hey, can you play Halo 2 online with XBox Live members? Just wonderin’.

Over here we haven’t had any of the fancy ad campagin stuff so it all seems a bit low key really! I want some damn Game Fuel! Or Mountain Dew I don’t have to buy via an import company. Stupid Britain.
Anyhoo, its released here next Friday and I have the Legendary edition on pre-order. I would be taking the day off work if I wasn’t self employed. No work, no money.

I just picked up the 360 less than a month ago, and will be waiting awhile before picking up Halo 3 (still have to get farther into Bioshock
. I checked out Believe yesterday as everyone on the forum I frequent raved about it. I do agree, it is nothing short of amazing!

@Pete – “I would be taking the day off work if I wasn’t self employed. No work, no money.” If only ALL OF US were faced with such predicaments. (#);)
@Madhur – You better believe I will!
@Mandy – I didn’t know you were still playing that. I thought you were too scared to go further with it. (#);)

Well it is a really creepy game! But I have to push through eventually, my husband would kill me if I didn’t pick it back up, since I had to throw myself on the floor and have a tantrum, to get the 360!

@Mandy – Wait a tick, the wife having to beg the HUSBAND to get a 360?! Now that’s one I haven’t heard before!

What Are Your Plans For The Halo 3 Launch?…
I was reading through my feeds looking for inspiration for posts while watching the Sporting Lisbon Vs Man Utd Champions League game, and I spotted a post by Bush about Halo 3’s impending launch next week, and he seems to be as excited as me.

Well since I already work out of the home I don’t have to call in, lol.
However I won’t get it at release I most likely will get it next month.
I’m trying to talk myself out of buying Bioshock today. Can you, or anyone else, recommend a good Headset for XBL?
September 20th, 2007 at 9:22 am
@Opal T – I wish I could. If you find one let me know, cause boy oh boy does the one that comes with the system suck. Maybe I should buy a couple and do a post. … I’m sure the wife will love that. (#):D

I bet she will! hee Hee
I’ll start checking what’s hot online. I did that a few months ago but then got swamped with work. The past week I’ve been getting a few hours of gaming at least three times per week.
I enjoy exercising but there is a reason why I do it health, keeps me sane, It’s also a habit although a very good habit to have.
Gaming is different it’s purely selfish! I’m allowed a few of selfish pleasures, right?
Goodness knows I need to do some things for “me”. However my daughter has discovered some of my games, like Oblivion, so I better enjoy it while I can! Sighs…. Can you believe that she is only four! She already tells the game when she wins, “You’ve just got owned!” I let her play a few times per week. She’ll be handing me my virtual head on a platter soon enough. Gah!
What makes me happy is knowing you’re next! Ha! Enjoy the freedom while you can daddy! hee hee
Oh by the way I added you to my buddy list on XBL My name is Opal1.
