@Opal T - I have signed up for Amazon affiliates, but I've only used them once. As it turned out, the post I used it on didn't get a lot of clicks from search engine ppl either. So yeah, I may take your advice and try it again but I think for the meantime my focus is probably going to be my AdSense ads. But we'll see.

BTW, good points about Affiliate Marketing. I've been thinking about making a site that was tailored to it, but at the moment, I'm just having fun getting my two current blogs up to snuff.

Silly, I put it in parenthesis..Do As I Say Not As I Do!

You should try Amazon Affiliates if you haven't. I made money from books and cooking appliances and I didn't even know it. Sure I put the links there but I forgot about them. I was shocked when I logged into my affiliate account a few days ago and found out I actually made money!

You give excellent review on games and books you want to make money online thats an option. You also have an audience that trusts you. That's important.

I use affiliate marketing, to a certain extent on Vegan Momma but VM is more "Social" so I don't monetize that a lot but your baby website or your informational site are great you could pick affiliates that complement what you have. There are hundreds of affiliates out there and you can really focus on your niche. The great thing is you don't have to hunt around to find them. You can use one website. I like Commission Junction. I use them for my alternative healing and weight loss website.

With my weight loss, I get paid $50 for someone to sign up for a weightloss program. I choose the affiliates I want so I was able to choose a healthy weight loss program.

Of course I want to make money but I want to believe in what I'm promoting. I could go on but I think I'll save the ramble for a post....

I'm always rambling on your blog, Harmonia's, and most recently Gary of Animal Writings...Sheesh! ;-)

I'm still making money through Adsense, advertising, but affiliate marketing on a few of my websites is something that has really caught my attention.

I have to admit I'm becoming less impressed with Google Adsense because of the companies hypocritical message DAISNAID (Do AS I Say Not As I Do) so I'm looking at other sources.

I'm pretty sure that my first google adsense check will be electronically deposited into my checking account, but I'll be sure to take a pic of the bank statement somehow.

Otherwise, I switched it to send me checks (a day after the deadline) so I'll take a nicer pick with my second check.

@Gnomey - Yeah! Vacation time is over!

@Sassy - Thank you. (#):) And sad? Hmmmm....Um....
I don't know that I have anything else to say. But hey! Who's the one bringing it up in post titles?! (#);D

@Brown - Promoting yourself to stalker huh? That should be the new name of your blog. Ha ha.

@Opal T - Well first, this post title was from Saved by the Bell: The College Years' Theme Song, so I guess it WAS from a song!

Secondly as always, thanks for the input. I think what's so cool about the net and net business is that there are so many ways for you to make your money. You can do standard CPC ads, CPM, affiate marketing, paid reviews, blah blah blah. And it's important for all of us to remember that no one way is the right way.

Thirdly, Nice job with your newer sites. I'm thinking I should start something like that (Affiliate Marketing) on a site, but right now I'm enjoying the two sites I have, and there's still so much little work I need to do on the both.

Lastly, You're always welcome to take up space on here. You truly give a lot to both me and the readers of this site!

Dedication is the key. I quit focusing on PR sometime last month Google giveth and can take away not only to those doing black hat but those who are doing everything right. I've listened to a few that I consider "mentors'.

They are doing very well monetarily without a high PR. In fact, a few of them have made my spotlight. They don't promote themselves as a make money online website which I really like.

There are so many websites doing that and after a while they all sound they same they're just attempting to say it in a different way. It can be hard to stand out among so many. Dosh Dosh wrote an excellent post on that topic.

Two of my newer (four-month old and the other a little over one week) websites have made a few hundred this past week. That's a little over 800 in two weeks. The following week I made over 600.

The money was made from affiliate marketing. On both websites at least 90% of my traffic comes from other sources besides search engines. I'm sure over time. The numbers will change. They both have a PR of 0.

Some of the rules that I hear from people who are making money online bother me for example, linking only to those who are within the same niche. I find that exclusionary and it turns me off when I see it.

It's obvious I don't listen to that. I'll link to anyone I frequently visit. I have my blogroll set on it's own page and I list everyone that I visit even though that page is a PR of 0 many have received traffic simply by me including them on my page.

I think I need to rant about this on my website instead of taking up your space. ;-) Snokesred wrote an excellent post that discussed this very thing.

The four-month site already receives more traffic than VeganMomma without the high search engine traffic. Can you imagine how much traffic that will receive when it's search engine traffic matches Vegan Momma?

I think many of us will have the feeling where we are standing on the edge of tomorrow. I felt the same way when I started my business in 2002. I felt it when I started monetizing my blog, and I'm feeling it again weeks away from starting my second business/product line.

I don't think I ever watched Saved by the Bell I was thinking you were quoting a song title, lol.

I think PR is on a vacation. I am anxiously awaiting for updates myself. Don't sweat it Bush. You have a great site and a great readership. And for what it's worth, I watched Saved by the Bell from the beginning to the end and the movies also. Sad I know.
