Is it Just Me, Or Did E3 Suck?
Out With the Old, In with the New
We all know that this year’s E3 was nothing like previous years’. Gone were the thousands of rabid fanboys, the scantily clad girls, and basically all the hoopla. I’m ok with that. (Probably because I never went to an old school E3 so if I ever went to a “modern day” one, I wouldn’t know the difference). But just looking at the news to come out of E3…Am I missing something? To me, there isn’t a single game that I was waiting on pins and needles to hear about and after the dust settled, there still isn’t a single game I’m blown away with.
I’m more taken with Zelda II: The Adventure of Link
What’s New Pussycat? (whoa eewhoa-whoa…)
Prior to E3, tons of info had already come out about Halo 3 and Super Smash Bros Brawl…And I think at LAST year’s E3, we heard all about the still to be released Metal Gear Solid 4. Furthermore, I’ve made tons of posts about the very exciting Rock Band here too, again with details prior to E3. *sigh* I get it. All the next gen systems are out and most haven’t even gotten their legs yet but well..I feel like the kid who peeked at his XMas gifts two weeks early! So tell me video game fans out there, am I missing the big game out there? (And don’t tell me it’s the PSP redesign)

You’re right buddy. This year’s E3 was a big letdown. Ah well .. I’ll just see what NBA 2K8 and NBA Live 2008 look like haha.

@Brown – The basketball games these days look UNBELIEVABLE. Much like Zelda II: The Adventure of Link.

Hey Bush,
Thanks for commenting on my blog. I’ve taken your advice about the comments and applied that.
I’m going to be opening some more niche blogs in the next few weeks and am hoping to have my own hosting space and use wordpress for these.
Just seeing the Zelda screenshot got me excited!! I must download some of these oldschool games. I think Mario 3 and TMNT needs to be somewhere near the top of my list

@Forest – Np! And yeah, there are a ton of gems on the VC. My big favs at the moment are Streets of Rage 2, Super Mario 64, and of course Zelda II: The Adventure of Link.

The best thing for me was that Gears of War for the PC was announced .

@Madhur – You may have something there since I still am without a 360. I was going to buy one soon, but I may try and wait for them to release a new version of it that hopefully fixes their overheating and red ring of death problems. And add on top that the PS3’s $499 model may be going the way of the dinosaur soon…I may just ante up, get a PS3, hold on ’till Sept or so for the 360 and in the meantime play Gears of Wear on my kicka$$ PC.
