Super Puzzle Fighter II Turbo HD Remix
In news from E3 – Capcom is at it again. In yet another roll your eyes moment, (see Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD), Capcom is redoing Super Puzzle Fighter II into Super Puzzle Fighter II Turbo HD Remix. Good lord. First off, how many other words can they append to a title of a video game? In another 2 years we’ll see “The New Warriors: Super Puzzle Fighter II Turbo ALPHA HD Ultra Remix vs Capcom 3″ ARRRRGH. But that’s not what’s really bothering me. In videos from IGN the game looks decent, (even though it’s not in it’s final form)…Animation looks smooth, effects look beefed up, but from the videos and article it still doesn’t look like much has changed. (I know that’s a big shocker to most of you).
Conclusion: Capcom is once again trying to siphon every last dollar from a great franchise of yesteryear w/o putting anything but minimal work into the product. When I was younger and would hear the name “Capcom”, I would get all giddy in side. Like the name Nintendo, Capcom was synonymous with quality and great games. Now it would seem that Capcom has nothing but momentary flashes of brilliance surrounded by an unending string of collections and piss poor sequels.

I mean… do we even need to mention Mega Man?

Well, they haven’t made a Mega Man Legends in a little while, so I said, “Why the heck not.” Though, they are still making a million Battle Network games right?

They’re on to ZX and Starforce now, but I think all told the Battle Network games totaled around 10 or so between the GBA and Gamecube.
