100th Post! – More To Come!
Even though I’ve never thought about it ’till now…Had you told me months ago that today I’d have 100 posts under my belt, I probably wouldn’t've believed you. I especially wouldn’t've believed that I’d be writing so consistently but like I’ve said so oft before, it’s all because of you guys! Your comments, e-mails, and all the stuff in the middle makes this little thing of mine such a dynamic and fun place to be. So thank you!

I don’t remember when exactly, but sometime ago I said that this blog was X months old. Well regardless of what I said, I’m pretty sure it was lie because as it turns out, I started this blog well before I implied I did in that post. To get to the point, next month in August will be this bad boy’s official 6 month anniversary. So on or abouts August 1st, I will have my biggest contest yet! (Which shouldn’t be hard considering I’ve only had one other.)
BUT – I don’t know what the contest is gonna be, and I don’t know what I’m gonna give away! So if you have ideas on either, let me know! This time, I’m taking requests. (#):)

6 months? Time goes by fast indeed.
July 11th, 2007 at 12:41 am
Well I’m not quite there yet. Hey Brown, have any thoughts on the contest?
July 11th, 2007 at 3:50 am
Ah! that’s good that you achieved the milestone
It always feels good when you make so many posts. I’m sure it will encourage you to provide more and more posts with good quality

In June of ’06, I deleted my blog’s database to start over. I had 1400+ posts. A year later, I have nearly 200. I’m back on a roll!
July 11th, 2007 at 8:39 am
I’ve got like 8 posts, all about nothing whatsoever. When I get to 100 posts, they’ll still be about nothing whatsoever. Congrats on having content and readers, maybe someday I’ll get there too. But that’d mean I’d have to actually write about something, so I dunno.
As for the contest, I have zero creative ideas. Let’s all write Bush Mackel haikus and you can pick the best. See? My ideas are just plain bad.
Bush Mackel lives tech
The web is where he will work
But where will Bush play?

Congratulations on 100 posts. That is quite an accomplishment.
July 11th, 2007 at 9:24 am
@R-Saurus – Thanks and ABSOLUTELY!
@Angela – I can’t fathom deleting 1400+ posts! Why in the heck did ya need to do that?!
@Peg – You should really try putting yourself out there in this wonderful blogosphere of ours! It’s so much better than doing “work” at your job. Get this-You can actually have interesting conversations with new people about stuff that you care about! You should really give it a try, I think you’d like it! (BTW, I edited your URL in your comment so people can actually find you!)
And I can’t believe you wrote a haiku. Ha ha. You must be BORED OUT OF YOUR SKULL. And I think thus far, that’s the best contest idea yet! Of course-It might be the only one too. In any event, I appreciate the sentiment.
@Apex – Thanks a lot! I guess in the whole grand scheme of things it’s still pretty small, but you gotta celebrate the small things right? (#):)

Hey Bush. Good going.
At my art blog – 36 posts till now.
At my info blog – 121 posts (around 10 are guest posts)
At my personal site – I do not keep count.
And I did a handful of guest posts elsewhere.
This blogging is quite addicting.

@Vyoma – Addicting? – Absolutely. (#):) I JUST started my second blog, but I’m still getting it’s presentation and layout to where I want it.

Hey Congratulations to you! You know you need to having that online gaming party to celebrate.
I’m close to 2,000 posts. This coming February marks my three-year anniversary. The longest I stayed away from blogging was about two months That happened in late 2005 or early 2006. I lost a lot of readers in the process.
Instead of expanding the areas I blogged about I, stubbornly stuck to blogging about “veganism”.
Naturally, I became bored with it quickly and I hated writing about it so much. There’s so more to me than that. I felt obligated to write about that since at the time the majority of my readers were Vegan.

@Opal – Good points. At the beginning for me, it took a second to figure out what I WAS and WASN’T going to write about. My first posts weren’t all that tech related and were a little more personal than I wanted. Furthermore, I wasn’t attracting people to my blog so I actually took a step back and decided that I was going to be more tech than anything else and made a conscious decision to stay on that path. For me it’s worked out great. Most of my posts are on technology, but I still sprinkle in personal stuff now and then. I think w/o the personal stuff you guys wouldn’t have the chance to get to know me, and if I just reported on what everyone else does in the Blogosphere my site may not have that much identity.
On this note though, I’ve been doing a lot of thinking over the weekend about my blog…About the stuff I write, where it’s going, how to attract more readers etc…I haven’t come up with any hard and fast conclusions YET, but don’t be surprised if you see a post on the subject soon. (#):)

Congrats Bush, good going. BTW, I got the movie. Can’t say that I have seen it either. May have to check it out, even though it’s got a 2.5 on IMDB…lol I may just give it to my nephew.
July 11th, 2007 at 7:11 pm
Congratulations, it feels good doesn’t it?
Haiku:
do read Bush Mackel
see blogger happy blogging
like puppy with toy
Sorry, can’t resist the opportunity to whip out a haiku.
July 11th, 2007 at 7:59 pm
@Listikal – Glad to hear it arrived all safe and sound. Let me know how you …or your nephew likes the movie!
@Wendy – Oh no, what has Peg STARTED!?!?…(Even though I do take a guilty pleasure in counting the syllables).
And you know what – That one wasn’t bad either. (#):)

Hmm my brain is not working .. I can’t think of a suggestion for your contest haha.
July 11th, 2007 at 11:47 pm
@Brown – Brown! Do you remember when I asked you for ideas last time? Let me remind you: “Hey happy 1 month! Pretty soon we’ll be celebrating your first year!” Now while that IS a very nice sentiment…
I NEED IDEAS!!! (#):)
July 12th, 2007 at 1:18 am

July 12th, 2007 at 5:04 am
Congrats on your achievement. It gives you a good feeling even if your achievement is small.
July 12th, 2007 at 8:46 am
Thanks buddies!
@Shashank – Yeah, “WHAT HAD HAPPENED WAS” I forgot that I had some really early “rogue” posts when I wasn’t blogging as hardcore as I am now.
@Nirmal – Most definitely! You gotta hope that one day you’ll look back on milestones like this and remember how everything got started. (#):)
July 12th, 2007 at 9:37 am

Congratulations! Some of the popular prizes are Microsoft Zunes, iPods, and domain names.
July 12th, 2007 at 2:28 pm
@Grace- Now that’s what I’m talkin’ bout! Thanks Grace! That’s VERY helpful. (#):)
Though the leap in price from a $9.99 Garbage Pail Kid to a $199 iPod MIGHT BE A BIT STEEP!!! (#):D
