Resident Evil 4 Wii Edition

So in the weekly ads this week, a video game title actually jumped out at me. (It’s been a while). The game was Resident Evil 4 Wii Edition! I’ve been pining after this game for quite sometime now, and even when it came to PS2 and became a Greatest Hit for $19.99, I still slept on it. Now it’s on the Wii and has a beautiful $29.99 price tag. I think this is going to be the second Wii game I buy. (The first and only other one I own right now is Ultimate Alliance, a bad $50 purchase for me).

Even though I’ve never played the game before, I have watched a good friend of mine play through a good portion of the game, and it just looks awesome. Even though it’s not as atmospheric as past Resident Evil games, I think it’s attempt to get more fast twitch action into the gameplay is a very welcome addition. To that end, I’m really excited about playing it on the Wii because of the Wiimote and such. Headshots and other pinpoint targeting are a good part of the game (crow and target shooting come to mind) so having a point and shoot device should fit in quite well. Over at IGN, reviews also say that certain gestures have been matched to different parts of the game including shaking the controller to get Leon to run faster or fight off zombies which should also add a decent bit to the game.So yeah, very excited to pick this one up, and will probably to do in the next week.

HA HA HA! That’s a good point! (And of course in my post I gotta include some freak with a weirdo head and chainsaw).

I think what it was is that every time my wife’s cat came in last night, I kept thinking it had a maimed rabbit in it’s mouth.

(She brought one in yesterday during the day, and the last time it happened at night, the rabbit in terror just about jumped in bed with me which is a heck of a way to wake up at 2am).
