If you had told me that Pac-Man was being remade I’d say, “Who cares. Not me.” If you had told me that Pac-Man was being remade with the title Pac-Man: Championship Edition I’d say, “Street Fighter CE trounces Pac-Man CE”. But after I saw a video on the IGN

The game has been updated with new graphics and new gameplay and looks sweet. The biggest thing to me, (a guy who’s not a huge fan of Pac-Man games), is that it seems to have incorporated that FRANTICness that I absolutely love! You know, the kind that requires quick reflexes and would get me addicted quick! Now IGN does point out that there are some things that could’ve been better, most notably the $10 price tag on the XBLA game. All you guys know that I don’t even have a 360 yet, but in terms of Wii VC games, a $10 price tag is the equivalent of a N64 game. …Like a Mario 64 game. And it takes a lot to get me to spend $10 on a game for the VC. Replayability may make it worth it to drop $10 on Pac-Man, but I guess I’ll have to try it out before I come to a conclusion either way.

This looks awesome. I loved Pacman zillions of years ago and I still love it today
Now we just need a killer remake of Donkey Kong.

You might be on to something. I’m not sure that DK would benefit from a huge frenzy increase (as in I’m not sure that would be possible), but changes in gameplay AT THE LEAST could be done, and also improved graphics could go along way in a transition to maybe a cheap knock around game. (imho of course (#);D)

Since I do have an XBox 360 I think I will get this game very soon. The thing I was most impressed with is that it supposedly has new levels, the first new levels for pac-man in over 20 years.
