What Wii VC Games Would You Buy For $30
This weekend, I have fallen in love once again with Super Mario 64 now that I have downloaded it from the Wii Virtual Console. I have always been hesitant about downloading 64 games, because well, they’re $10 a pop! But I bit the bullet anyway, and the game amazingly still holds up. So that got me thinking, if you started fresh on the VC, (that is with no games), and $30 bucks, what would be the games you would get? You can see a full listing of VC releases here, with the exception of Zelda II : The Adventures of Link, Toe Jam & Earl in Panic on Funkotron, Dead Moon, and Milon’s Secret Castle. Oh and btw, here’s my list :
- Super Mario 64 – 1000 pts
- Final Fight – 800 pts
- Streets of Rage 2 – 800 pts
Unfortunately, $30 just doesn’t go very far. But honorable mentions include Castlevania – 500 pts and Punch Out – 500 pts.

Nice picks. I completely forgot about Golden Axe and Super Ghouls & Ghosts. And you know, I may revise my selection in re: to Final Fight just because the replay isn’t ALL that great and you can beat the game rather quickly.
