It’s that time again, the NBA Playoffs. And I’m gonna make this one short, especially since I said I was going to stay on topic from now on. But I just couldn’t resist. I’ve been trying to hold off this post for quite some time, but after the Suns’ AWESOME win over the Spurs tonight to tie the series at 2 a piece, I gotta write something.

As many ppl know, I LOVE Steve Nash. He’s MY BOY. In an era where basketball sorely needed new stars, he was one of the first to pick up the slack. He’s amazing to watch, and just a phenomenal player. Last year during the playoffs, I had a dream that I met Steve Nash, and he couldn’t have been nicer. I was courtside at a basketball game and we were there watching the teams shoot around before the game started. I said to one of my friends in a whisper, “LOOK! It’s Steve Nash! That guy’s amazing!” Just then, Nash stops shooting, turns around and says, “Huh? Were you saying something about me?” I’m frozen in terror, and he comes over, introduces himself, and couldn’t be nicer.Night before last, I had another Steve Nash dream where I saw him in a book store and I come up behind him and say, “Um, excuse me…Mr. Nash?” and he turns around and says, “MR NASH?….Just call me NASH!” And again, couldn’t be nicer or easier to talk to. I think tell him that I have a digital camera in my car, and I would love to take a picture with him. He says ok, but as soon as I get back in the book store, there’s like a million ppl trying to talk to him and I just can’t get through.So yeah, I love Steve Nash. And during this series with the Spurs, he has been taken out of a game with a geyser of a bloody nose (which probably cost his team that game), he has been kneed in the gonads, got hosed by the refs in game 3, and tonight led his team to victory as he was checked into a table by freakin’ Horry. Good lord. The best is in the post game interview, the announcer asks Nash in so many words, “So after you got knocked into that table, it looked like you were gonna go after Horry!” Nash replies with a sly smile, “Well, I’ve been hitting the gym, workin’ on the guns so I thought I’d go to the body a bit.” HA HA HA.
