It’s funny that all this buzz is coming out over Super Street Fighter 2 Turbo HD because I was just talkin’ to someone about how I wish that Capcom spent, oh…ANY TIME working on new IP instead of just squeezing the last drops out of it’s 20 year old franchises like Street Fighter and Mega Man. Now don’t get me wrong, I love these franchises, but unless they’re gonna do something dramatically new with Street Fighter, just don’t. Street Fighter III is a good example of this, that is what you should do. Great graphics and animation, and the parrying system really makes it a whole new experience. With Street Fighter 2 Turbo HD, they’re just gonna make it look better? It might be cool for like 15 minutes, but beyond that?

Now what if they took that effort and put it toward a Street Fighter III : Next Wave or Street Fighter IV? Then you’d have something. But if they’re just taking the same game, and making it look better, and with no new animation sprites…I mean…what’s the point?
