Gallery2 and WPG2 MADNESS
OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOF. So I decided at some point today that it would be a good and fun idea to incorporate a photo gallery into my blog. So I looked into what was the most popular and I found out about WPG2. That installation was easy enough. But then when it was installed, it DIDN’T WORK. After combing over the support forums, I find out that this Gallery2 thing is a separate install. So I download that, and upload it to my server and start the installation.
What a pain in the a$$.
I made the mistake of uploading, (through FTP), the “complete” unzipped install! It was like 50MB or something like that!!! So after that was all done, (seemingly hours later), I started the install but ran into problems since I apparently had php safe mode on. UGH. Long story short, I think it’s all working now, but it’s going to be a day or so until I’m really making use of it I think.
Funny thing is, I just finished making an impromptu photo gallery for a client in php! Why do I do this to myself?
